Anchor Changes Coming to WBTV Starting on January 30th

WBTV announced new anchor teams that will debut on WBTV News starting on Monday, January 30th, 2023. Alex Giles will join Mary King to co-anchor WBTV News at 5 and 6 p.m. Christine Sperow will continue to anchor WBTV News This Morning from 4:30-7 a.m. as well as WBTV News at Noon. WBTV is excited to welcome Shevaun Bryan to the team. Bryan will anchor the 4 p.m. newscast starting on April 18th. Bryan comes to Charlotte from WHNT in Huntsville, Alabama where she was the morning and midday anchor.

Jamie Boll to Co-Anchor WBTV News at 5 p.m.

Jamie Boll joined WBTV in Charlotte in 2005 and is currently the co-anchor of WBTV News at 5 p.m. with Molly Grantham. He also anchors On Your Side Tonight, which takes a deeper look at the issues facing the community. Since joining WBTV, Boll has covered a wide range of stories, including the 2016 Republican National Convention, the Keith Lamont Scott shooting, and the COVID-19 pandemic. He is known for his in-depth reporting and his commitment to holding those in power accountable.
