Minnesota Vikings Release Limited Edition Gold Bud Grant Memorial Patch
Limited Edition Patch to Honor Legendary Coach
Patch Available Now Through Vikings Team Store
The Minnesota Vikings have announced the release of a limited edition Gold Bud Grant Memorial Patch to honor the legendary coach who led the Vikings to four Super Bowl appearances. The patch, which features Grant's signature and the phrase "Purple Pride," is available now for purchase through the Vikings Team Store.
Grant, who passed away in May 2023 at the age of 95, was one of the most successful coaches in NFL history. He led the Vikings to 11 division championships and three NFC Championships during his 18 seasons with the team. Grant was also named the NFL Coach of the Year in 1969 and 1975.
"Bud Grant was a true legend who left an indelible mark on the Minnesota Vikings and the NFL," said Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf. "This patch is a small token of our appreciation for his contributions to the team and the game of football."
The Gold Bud Grant Memorial Patch is available for purchase online at the Vikings Team Store website or at the Vikings team store located at U.S. Bank Stadium. The patch is priced at $10, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Bud Grant Foundation.
