Could Limit His Output Michael Vaughan Fires Jasprit Bumrah Warning To Joe Root Ahead Of India Series

'Could limit his output' - Michael Vaughan fires Jasprit Bumrah warning to Joe Root ahead of India series

England legend Michael Vaughan has warned Joe Root that Jasprit Bumrah's return to the Indian team "could limit his output" in the upcoming Test series.

Bumrah has been out of action since September with a back injury, but is expected to be fit for the first Test against England, which starts on August 4.

Vaughan, who played 82 Tests for England, believes that Bumrah's return will be a major boost for India and could make it difficult for Root to score runs.

"Bumrah is a world-class bowler and he's going to be a huge asset for India in this series," Vaughan said.

"He's got the pace, the accuracy and the skill to trouble any batsman in the world, and I think he could limit Root's output in this series."

Bumrah has taken 123 wickets in 30 Tests at an average of 22.94. He is one of the most feared bowlers in the world and his return to the Indian team will be a major boost for their hopes of winning the Test series against England.

Root, who is England's Test captain, has scored 9,122 runs in 119 Tests at an average of 49.32. He is one of the best batsmen in the world, but he will face a tough challenge against Bumrah and the rest of the Indian bowling attack.

The first Test between England and India will be played at Trent Bridge from August 4-8. The second Test will be played at Lord's from August 12-16. The third Test will be played at Headingley from August 25-29. The fourth Test will be played at The Oval from September 2-6. The fifth Test will be played at Edgbaston from September 10-14.
